This is a copy of a message submitted by Peter Meyer on September 29, 2010, to an online discussion of 9/11. McAfee's red-alerting of Serendipity occurred just a few hours later. Coincidence?
[Quoting from the previous message:] "the 9/11 truth movement began with the intention of pointing out the holes in the official story" -- correct, since the holes are glaringly obvious once you think about it.
"But now, the movement has decided upon it's own Official Story" -- and what is this? 'earthenfoothold' does not say. Would he or she please tell us what the 'Official Story' of the 9/11 truth movement is.
There is none. It is clear that the Bush Administration official story cannot be true, but there are a variety of alternative theories as to what happened. (BTW there is nothing wrong with theories -- it's what any good detective invents when trying to solve a crime. To label 9/11 'alternative theories' as 'conspiracy theories' is a contemptible attempt to fool people and prevent them from thinking about what actually happened on 9/11.)
Here are some examples of alternative 9/11 theories, and none of them is the 9/11 truth movement's "Official Story". They are all hypotheses which have to be considered in the light of the available evidence.

And of course there are many articles which examine particular holes in the Bush Administration's official story, showing that it cannot be true.
Here's one hole that has not received much attention: Flight 93, a Boeing 757, is supposed to have crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. What happened to the plane? Was it pulverized into tiny fragments? That just doesn't happen to planes which fall out of the sky. Did it bury itself in that field?

If so, it is still there. And contains the bodies of at least 33 people. Why hasn't it been dug out and the people given a decent burial? Or was there never a 'Flight 93' over Pennsylvania? Is this story another official lie?
There is no 9/11 truth movement "Official Story". But there is huge reluctance on the part of many people to consider the evidence to show that the Bush Administration's "Official Story" cannot be true. If it cannot be true then the obvious question is: "What actually happened on 9/11?"

Who did it? Where are they now? Why haven't they been prosecuted for this, the greatest crime so far of the 21st Century? (Apart from war crimes such as the invasion of Iraq.) Why wasn't an official criminal investigation ever opened? Not only was the 9/11 Commission not a criminal investigation, it was a whitewash. People (or rather, 9/11 trolls) like 'earthenfoothold' don't want us to consider the question of what actually happened on 9/11. For many people that's because the possibility that 9/11 was an inside job is too scary for them to contemplate. They'd rather feel safe with their childish belief that the government is there to help and protect us. If "us" means "we the people" (and not the banks and big corporations) then that's a belief which by now most intelligent people have realized is a delusion.
